I’m very excited for the tours we decided to take. They seem like they will be a great way to
see a lot of Greece in a short amount of time.
However, since we’re staying in Marathon, getting to the meeting points
for these tours is proving to be difficult.
Many of the meeting times are between 8 and 10 AM at the Hotel Amalia in
Syntagma (Constitutional) Square in Athens.
In order to reach the hotel we must leave at least an hour and a half
early to take a bus from about half a mile away from the resort to the metro
and then take the metro to a station near the hotel in Athens. That makes for some very early mornings and
very long days. Hopefully the tours will
be worth it! At least we can nap on the
tour buses, right?
